Through their personal narratives, we showed the unique struggle for nature conservation, but also the broader context of women's struggle for political and economic rights. These women have shown that standing up for the common good is just as important as the daily silent fight for dignity.
The fight for rivers - the women's angle
As part of this project, a documentary film was created that brings the stories of women from Stara Planina who fought for years for the preservation of rivers and against the construction of mini-hydroelectric plants.
